Alumni

Alumni play an important role in the progress of an organization. They help to preserve the organization’s history, legacy, and traditions. They can help foster a sense of community and engagement among current and former members. Their collective knowledge, experience, and networks can lead to many fruitful collaborations and successful ventures. We are proud of our Alumni who have always tried to remain in touch with their school and contribute wherever possible.

Mr. Saqlain was a student from the first batch of Grade 10 at Diya Academy of Learning in the academic year 2014-15. He completed his Aircraft Engineering from VSM Agragami College of Engineering and, alongside, earned a Bachelor of Science degree through correspondence, which enabled him to learn SAP practices. During his placement period, he worked as a trainee at Air India Engineering Services Ltd. Currently, Mr. Saqlain is a Senior SAP Platform Engineer at Ecolab Digital Centre in Bangalore. He also serves as a trainer for SAP practices and mentors graduate students at Aplus Institute of Technology.

Ms Sharon Kottara Mariam is currently serving as a Therapeutic Case Manager at SCILS (Schools, Communities, Innovation and Learning Services) Australia, providing dedicated support to vulnerable young individuals facing educational challenges. Her responsibilities include delivering client-centred and trauma-informed case management and conducting regular face-to-face sessions in community or hub-based settings.

Ms Sharon completed her Grade 10 at Diya Academy of Learning in the academic year 2015-16 and earned a Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, and Psychology in 2021. By January 2024, she completed her Master's in Social Work from the University of Australia.

Mr Yogesh Varadharaj earned his Master’s Degree in Information Systems from Pace University, New York, NY, between 2022 and May 2024. He completed his grade 10 at Diya Academy of Learning in the 2016 batch. He gained practical experience through internships as a Data Science Intern at Prinston Smart Engineers in Bangalore, India, and as a Data Analyst Intern at Enclosure One LLC in New York from 2023 to 2024.

Ms Maitreyi Ramdas is pursuing a B.A. L.L.B (Hons.) at Jindal Global Law School, Sonipat, Haryana, with an expected graduation in 2025. She completed her grade 10 at Diya Academy of Learning in the 2017-18 academic year. Ms Maitreyi is particularly interested in commercial law and Technology, Media, and Telecommunications (TMT) law. She believes that the industry's research and development activities significantly influence societal evolution.

Ms Spoorthi N Bhat is a third-year BTech student in Computer Science at Vellore Institute of Technology, having completed her Grade 10 at Diya Academy of Learning in 2020. Currently, she is the Department Lead at CodeChef VITC, with a strong passion for design and full-stack development. Ms Spoorthi has also taken on leadership roles in clubs at VITC, serving as the Cultural Lead for the Kannada Literary Association.

Mr Meher Chaitanya is a passionate maker and developer of technical projects and was a student of Diya Academy of Learning for ten years, where he honed various technical skills. He has expertise in motorized hardware, electronic modules and sensors, programmable electronics, software-hardware integration, high-level programming languages (Python, JavaScript, Go), web development, and basic Android app development. His notable projects to Diya Academy of Learning include a smartphone-controlled smart locker, a Bluetooth-controlled model car, a maze-solving robot, a line-following robot, a robotic arm, a visitor feedback app, and a web-based test-taking platform. These projects showcase his ability to integrate hardware and software to create innovative solutions.

Ms Sana Ayesha S J is currently pursuing her first year B.Tech., in Automation & Robotics at SRM University of Technology, Chennai. She completed her high school education at Narayana Olympiad School (2023-24), Goravigere, Bangalore, and secondary high school(2021-22) at Diya Academy of Learning, Bangalore.
