Applied Academics: Reimagining Education for the 21st century

Diya believes in imparting knowledge along with skills to prepare our students for the future. Our applied academics curriculum focuses on building 21st century skills. One of the key objectives of a 21st century education is to build students’ global competence skills. Globally competent students have the skills and knowledge to not just learn about the world, but also to make a difference in the world. Students develop their skills by applying their learning to real-world topics. We combine active learning with global issues and weave them into the curriculum.

Having a strong vision for 21st century learning, we prepare our students for the future through experiential and integrated learning (STEM). Activities based on Mechanics, Electronics and Robotics help students to build 4C skills (Critical thinking, Creativity, Communication and Collaboration). AI and Data Science help students to prepare themselves for the tech savvy future. Additionally, math and science concepts are taught using hands-on activities, to have a strong understanding of the important concepts.

Unlike traditional education experiences, our applied academics curriculum emphasizes technology, integrates subjects and relates them to each other.
