Genex Space Classes:

At Diya, we're passionate about igniting curiosity and fostering a love for space exploration. Our Space Classes offer students an immersive journey through the cosmos, combining captivating theory with exhilarating hands-on activities and awe-inspiring sky gazing experiences.

Our Space Classes take students on a thrilling voyage through the wonders of the universe. From the mysteries of distant galaxies to the marvels of our own solar system, the curriculum covers a diverse range of topics, including: Planetary Science, Astronomy and Space Technology.

We believe in learning by doing, which is why our Space Classes are packed with hands-on activities that bring theoretical concepts to life. Students have the opportunity to build rockets and design Mars rovers.

One of the highlights of our Space Classes is the opportunity for sky gazing sessions. Under the guidance of experienced astronomers, students venture outdoors to observe celestial objects through telescopes. Whether it's the phases of the Moon, the rings of Saturn, or distant star clusters, these sky gazing experiences leave a lasting impression and inspire a sense of wonder.

Applied Academics @ Diya

We believe in imparting knowledge along with skills to prepare our students for the future. Our applied academics curriculum focuses on developing knowledge in STEM subjects that promote 21st century skills. For the tech savvy future, we prepare our students through experiential learning.

Meticulously curated curriculum offers students new ways of thinking which can improve their 4C skills (Critical Thinking, Creativity, Communication and Collaboration). As students develop 4C skills, they become globally competent, they will be adaptable in the constantly changing work environment. Activities based on problem solving, creative thinking, mechanics, electronics, robotics and data science help the students prepare themselves for the future. Additionally, math and science concepts are taught using hands-on activities, to have a strong understanding of the important concepts.

The activities and curriculum is planned with a well-designed progression from Grades 1 to 10.

Grades 1 & 2: Bee-Bot is an exciting floor robot through which students are exposed to activities related to sequential programming, problem solving. Activities using LEGO Early Simple Machines provides ideal opportunities for our students to develop an understanding of the concepts of science and basic mechanics.

Grade 3 to 5: Students are encouraged to discover physical sciences in action using LEGO BricQ Motion Kit where they experiment with forces, motion and interactions in the context of sports. Real-world problem solving activities using BBC micro:bit, a pocket sized computer, provides a rich understanding of science, design, math and computing.

Grades 6 to 8: Robotics activities using LEGO Spike Prime continuously engage students through playful learning to think critically and solve complex problems needed to become the innovators of tomorrow. Activities using Arduino take learning further with IoT, automation, and real life applications.

Grades 9 & 10: Along with the Robotics and Electronics activities, students visualize and capture real, scientific data that brings science, math, and technology activities to life.
